Rich Harden finally made it into a Spring game today, and the results were good. By that, I mean his shoulder didn’t explode into a season and dream ending burst of blood, goo, and labrum.
And what do you know, he pitched pretty well, too. Two innings, 25 pitches, two hits, and a strikeout. Cool.
“It’s nice to get that first one out of the way,” he said afterwards. “I feel normal now, like I’m part of the team.”
“I kind of don’t want to think about [whether I’m back for good] too much,” he said. “There’s still a long ways to go.. I feel great. Hopefully, I’ll continue on this path. I’ve put a lot of hard work in, and I feel good.” Hardball.
You had to bring us down, Rich. Didn’t you? By the way, your shoulder is leaking.
