God’s Wrathwatch: Geovany Soto Could be Back Next Week

Chicago Cubs

gods-wrathChicago Cubs catcher Geovany Soto has been out for a couple weeks now with a strained oblique muscle, but he is recovering normally.

[Soto] is swinging a bat while rehabbing in Mesa, Ariz., and remains on track to return in a week.

”He started swinging a broom stick, and now he’s using a real bat,” Piniella said. ”We’ll look forward to getting him back, but let’s give Koyie Hill credit, too. He’s been doing a real nice job with our pitching staff.” CHICAGO SUN-TIMES.

Lou’s right that, for whatever reason, it seems like when Koyie Hill catches, the Cubs win. He sure can’t hit too well, though. Snap.
