Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Carlos Silva will return to the team on Tuesday, making a start against the Houston Astros. The start will be his first since August 1 when he left a start against the Rockies with an elevated heart rate. He has since undergone a minor, corrective heart procedure and two rehab starts with the Peoria Chiefs.
Silva returns to a 10-5 record and a 3.92 ERA, both of which are significantly better marks than anyone expected when the Cubs acquired Silva (and cash) for Milton Bradley this winter.
