If you like tedious, melodramatic reality programs about richies interacting with the common folk, get ready to combine two of your passions: the Chicago Cubs are going to be on CBS’s ‘Undercover Boss.’ Hoo-ray.
CBS, which announced Monday that it plans to air the Ricketts episode on Nov. 7, said he fights for the chance to redeem himself after getting canned on his second day on the job.
Ricketts also fears his secret has been exposed when a friend recognizes him parking cars, the network said.
Which is probably a surprise to Cubs fans who never knew the team had anyone parking cars.
Ricketts, the brother Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts, owns a bicycle shop in north suburban Highland Park and serves on the Cubs board of directors. Chicago Tribune.
Query whether Todd Ricketts qualifies as a “boss,” but it will still be interesting to see a bit behind the scenes from the perspective of some of the tasks you rarely think about. How do they take care of the ivy? Where do all those Chicago dogs come from? Who washes Jim Hendry?
