I’m of the mind that it’s healthy to leave Milton Bradley in the past, and any perverse pleasure we may find in seeing him fail is better left in private quarters. However, you’re going to read this somewhere, so it might as well be here.
Today, Bradley was arrested on felony charge. Not a lot of details yet, but, from a baseball perspective, it may well result in the Mariners being able to void the final year of Bradley’s contract – $12 million.
Obviously you’d never wish to retain a guy just so that you could save some cash when he’s arrested, but, like, um, well… the Cubs are stuck with Carlos Silva, and the Mariners may be scot-free, save the few million they’re sending the Cubs this year for Silva. That kind of sucks.
Just sayin’.
