Mike Leake dominated the Cubs for the second time in as many starts, which is actually really, really impressive (even if it is the Cubs). He ended Starlin Castro’s 13-game hitting streak in the process.
It was a thoroughly meh performance on the offensive side all around, with the exception of Carlos Pena, who had two hits and crushed a third ball. Ryan Dempster had an all right start, and Sean Marshall threw a scoreless frame.
