The Cubs needed innings today from Chris Volstad, and, for five, they got it – quality, even. And then he ran into his now-patented Chris Volstad “Bad Inning” in the sixth, which included a grand slam. He didn’t get a ton of help from his defense in that inning, but we are definitely now approaching the point where it’s fair to have a conversation about “what to do with Chris Volstad.”
Thanks to the Cubs’ bats farting around and doing very little, the game wound up being a blow-out in favor of the Brewers.
