The Cubs will try to salvage the final game of an unfortunate series with the White Sox. The Cubs get Jake Peavy, who’s been flapping his gums, but who’s also been pretty darn good this year. They counter with Paul Maholm, who’s cooled off a bit after a ridiculously hot stretch.
Kosuke Fukudome starts in right field for the White Sox in his return to Wrigley Field, and I imagine he’ll be received warmly, if unenthusiastically.
Adrian Cardenas draws a start at second base, making for seven lefty bats (Koyie Hill switch hits) in the lineup against Peavy.
Game Info
