As is is the case every year, the Chicago Cubs will be putting on some great holiday events at Wrigley Field over the next few weeks.
That includes the skating rink at Wrigley Field. The details, from Carrie Muskat:
The Rink at Wrigley is located in the Cubs’ parking lot at the corner of Clark and Waveland streets, and will be open until March 3, Mondays through Thursdays from 2-8 p.m. CT, and Fridays from 2-10 p.m. CT; Saturdays from 12-10 p.m. CT; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT. Admission is $5 per adult and $3 per child Monday through Thursday; $10 per adult and $6 per child Friday through Sunday. Season passes are available for $60. Skate rentals will be available for an additional fee of $5 Monday through Thursday, and $10 Friday through Sunday. All proceeds help offset the cost of the rink.
The Cubs will also have a day of holiday festivities at Wrigley on November 30, including a toy drive for Cubs Charities, and a tree lighting ceremony at 5pm CT. There will be hot chocolate at the ceremony, plus an appearance by Santa. Santa!
I may sound sarcastic, but I’m a total sucker for this kind of stuff. I love it.
There’s more information available about the rink here. They’ve also got some photos:
