It’s the first split squad game for the Cubs on the Spring (split squad, for the uninitiated, means what it sounds like it means – the Cubs divide things up, and take on two teams on the same day), and it comes with a bonus: lots of prospects will be playing for the Cubs today. At last check, in addition to the guys in big league camp, we could also see Albert Almora, Dan Vogebach, Trey Martin, Stephen Bruno, and Zeke DeVoss in action. We haven’t yet hear which prospects will be at which game, except for Almora, who says he’ll be playing in the Angels game. I’ll be at a funeral most of the day today, so I likely won’t be able to update this to reflect where each prospect will be playing. If you see word on this, please add it to the comments.
Double bonus: the game against the Angels is going to be televised! … tomorrow morning on tape delay on MLB Network (8:30am CT). But if you’ve got MLB.tv, you can watch live.
