It’s the first CSN game of the Spring, which reminds me of a point: I understand that, for production reasons, it makes more sense for television broadcasts to ramp up later in the Spring. But if you guys want better ratings, and want to better serve your audience, you’ll start showing more of the early Spring games. Not only is that when folks are *ravenous* for baseball action (it wanes by the end of March, because the idea that it’s all fake starts to overwhelm the desire for baseball, especially when “real” baseball is right around the corner), but it’s also when folks would get to see more of the interesting prospect-y type players.
Travis Wood gets the start today against the Giants, and you can also catch audio of the game online at Cubs.com/MLB.com. The game is on MLB.tv, obviously, in addition to CSN, and will be replayed on MLB Network at 6am CT.
