A little humor this afternoon on an otherwise drab, depressing day.
First, from The Onion, which always skewers things just right, a take on the Wrigley Field renovation announcement. The headline offers the thrust of the joke, but you can read the article for the full effect: “Wrigley Field Renovation Proposal Includes Tearing Down Clubhouse, Bleachers, Upper Deck, Lower Deck, Building New Stadium 10 Miles North.”
Second, from CBS’s Eye on Sports blog, it’s a hypothetical bobblehead, as part of their ongoing Bobblehead Project. In short, the project is about digitally creating creative bobbleheads that are more than just Random Player X from Random Team Y. Instead, the bobbleheads encapsulate iconic moments in baseball history, like the time the ball bounced off Jose Canseco’s head for a homer, or the time George Brett lost his mind.
