Pre-Gamin’: Padres v. Cubs (7:05 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, etc.

wrigley field from right bleachersWell, the serious sweep is off the table (it was probably a stretch as it was), but taking three of four is still possible. And necessary. Can’t split a series like this if the Cubs want any chance of climbing back toward .500.

If they’re going to do it, they’re going to need to beat a familiar face: Andrew Cashner. And he’ll face a shaken up lineup that sees Alfonso Soriano getting a day off (after being removed halfway through last night’s game … hmm … ) in favor of Julio Borbon who’s been smoking the ball. And batting third in tonight’s lineup: Luis Valbuena.

What’s Going on with Kyle Hendricks and Where Do We Go From Here?

Here’s One Unique Reason Shota Imanaga Keeps Dominating

Assad Keeps Dealing, Gaming Out the Rotation, Who Else Could Close? And Other Cubs Bullets

Enhanced Box Score: Cubs 5, Marlins 3 – April 20, 2024

Muuuuuuuuuch better. But first, the bad stuff. For the second straight game, the Cubs couldn't get anything going against a Marlins starter; only this time, that starter was not an established big leaguer like Jesus Luzardo. Nope, for what felt...
