It’s the second of three consecutive night games against the Rockies at Wrigley Field, and here’s hoping tonight looks a lot like last night. The Stache (Carlos Villanueva, for the uninitiated) could very well be pitching for his rotation spot in this one (heck, he might lose it even if he dominates).
Jeff Francis is on the other side, a lefty, and David DeJesus gets the start in center field and in the leadoff spot. This comes just a couple days after Dale Sveum essentially said that Starlin Castro would be his leadoff man against lefties. What up with that? Francis has a pretty standard lefty/righty split, so it isn’t that. Unless there has been some front office dictation here, I don’t really like or agree with this. DeJesus was doing very well facing only righties.
