Travis Wood gets the start tonight as the Cubs begin their final series on the year in St. Louis. Apparently, he’s going to pitch just one inning so that he can get to 200 innings on the year, and then will be relieved. I’m sure Wood is happy to get to 200, and I understand that side of things … but I tend to find these forced achievement things to be a little silly. Either the dude got to 200 innings or he didn’t.
