Yup, there’s a baseball game tonight. I’m guessing Cubs’ fans attentions will be divided, at best, and 70/30 in favor of the draft, at worst (or is that at best?). For me, it’s going to be both, but a slightly heavier focus on the draft, given that it’s the single most important event in the year for the Cubs right now.
Incidentally, the Cubs are going for a sweep tonight, having won two one-run games in a row over the Mets. They could stand to have Travis Wood go deep in this one, given how heavily the bullpen has been used the last two nights.
John Baker is out after being hit in the throat by a foul ball, so Eli Whiteside gets the start. Junior Lake is your leadoff hitter tonight, because whatever.
