Anthony Rizzo is third in the National League with 17 homers, so he should get some consideration for the Home Run Derby this year. It’s annually one of my favorite events, so I really hope Rizzo does get into the field.
And Rizzo, himself, hopes so, too.
“I would love to do it,” Rizzo told CSN’s Patrick Mooney. “That would be something that would be really cool for my family, myself, everyone who grew up with me and helped me along the way.”
You can see Mooney’s piece from Rizzo on how he doesn’t think the Derby would impact his swing, which is good.
But, yes, NL Derby Captain Troy Tulowitzki, make this happen. Because we want to see more of this:
Just can't get over that Rizzo homer. I could watch this again and again … https://t.co/GBhpYMufCZ
