It’s Arismendy Alcantara Day!
Only slightly less exciting is that it’s the second anniversary of Dallas Beeler-mas!
One of the Cubs’ top prospects, Alcantara will make his debut, starting at second base and batting second. Beeler is making his second start for the Cubs, and, while he isn’t considered a prospect of Alcantara’s caliber, he is a possibility for the Cubs’ rotation down the road.
So this is a pretty exciting game, folks, all in all.
Beeler gets a Reds lineup without Joey Votto or Todd Frazier, by the way.
