I expect to have more detailed thoughts on Tsuyoshi Wada tomorrow, but, for tonight, suffice it to say that he was good. He located well, he changed speeds well, and he kept the Rockies’ hitters off balance all night. One of the doubles he gave up was on a pop-up lost in the sky, and he didn’t walk a batter until the 7th (and it was close).
Offensively, the Cubs could have scored a hell of a lot more than four runs if not for repeatedly awesome defensive plays by Rockies defenders.
After some rough outings a few weeks ago, by the way, Hector Rondon has looked really good of late once again. I never lost faith.
