The Cubs welcome the Rockies for a four-game set, and tonight, Tsuyoshi Wada will get another chance to show that his stuff will play, at least minimally, at the big league level.
Emilio Bonifacio slides over to third base tonight so that the Cubs can maximize their righties in the lineup. It’ll also be a nice reminder to potentially interested teams that Bonifacio is hella versatile.
The Rockies start Yohan Flande tonight, which shows you just how far they have to dig to get starting pitchers – they have to start making guys up.
Carlos Gonzalez is back for the Rockies after a brief ankle thing, which is bully for them.
I will warn you in advance that, in anticipation of the Blogathon this week, I will likely not be able to stay up for the end of this one. I need to make sure and maximize my sleep the next two nights. If the EBS is delayed until morning, now you know why.
