I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 37 hours straight, until slightly past MLB’s July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.
Well, then. Things have certainly picked up, eh? I think the first ever live feed went over pretty well, but the timing sucked – a bunch of stuff happened while I was chattering away!

News and Rumors Since the Last Recap:
Things! The Cubs reportedly got their PTBNL from the Dodgers (and it’s actually an intriguing player), and the Cardinals traded for Justin Masterson. And then the Cubs reportedly got Felix Doubront. Now they’re reportedly close to dealing Emilio Bonifacio.
Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:
I started typing this and I went with the Masterson trade, because “He wasn’t a lock to be dealt, and is something of a considerable gamble for the Cardinals, who gave up a legit talent to get him.” But as I was typing, the Doubront/Bonifacio stuff happened. So, obviously that.
Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:
We’ll see what they get for Bonifacio, but I do like taking a flyer on Doubront (and, to be clear, that’s all this is). Might as well play while the opportunities are out there.

I really hope I didn’t say anything stupid or have a big booger hanging during the live stream. For most of it, I did not have the video feed up on my screen, so I couldn’t see what I looked like.
