I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 37 hours straight, until slightly past MLB’s July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline, thanks to your generous donations (more than $16,000 after an impending $1,000 donation) to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.
Be advised: the fourth and final live stream from the Blogathon is in 45 minutes at 10am CT. I will try to be less weird and more substantive. I will, however, be more tired.
We’re about to pass the morning period, and then it is – historically – a mad dash of rumors and deals until a little after 3pm CT. Pretty much like what just started to happen.

It still looks like Emilio Bonifacio will be traded today. Luke looked at new Cubs prospect Jonathan Martinez, and I did the morning Bullets like it was my job.

Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:
Just the uptick in rumors as the top national writers come online. It’s amazing how I could be sitting here, just a few hours earlier, with nobody anywhere saying anything about anything. And then, boom, five tweets a minute about various rumors.
… er, well, that’s what I wrote just before the Lester/Cespedes trade broke. Because now, it’s obviously that.

Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:
What if I’m struck by the overpowering urge to void my bowels during the live stream? Do I fight it? Is that too risky? I’ve got so much sugar and caffeine in my system, which is totally off balance from a lack of sleep, that I don’t know what might happen. And it’s not like I can excuse myself in the middle. Am I really typing this right now?
