On an otherwise busy day, it’s nice to take a step back for a minute, and enjoy the simple things in life.
By which I mean three homers from three separate top Chicago Cubs prospects yesterday.
There was Javier Baez going deep for the Iowa Cubs:
For all his early season struggles, that was Baez’s 20th homer on the year.
And then there was Jorge Soler hitting his second at AAA Iowa:
Don’t say there’s a lack of effort there.
And then there was Albert Almora going deep for the first time at AA:
Almora is 6 for his last 13 at Tennessee with a double, a homer, a walk, and no strikeouts.
