After last night’s win, the Cubs have a chance to take this four-game series from the first place Brewers. Sure, doing so would help the Cardinals and could hurt the Cubs long-term … but it’s exciting to win with a group of players who could actually be around next year.
Of course, winning today means Edwin Jackson will probably have to have a good start. He catches a break, with a number of Brewer regulars getting the day off.
