Chicago Cubs

rogers centre blue jaysIt’s an old face for the Chicago Cubs – at least for those who paid attention to the team across town. Long-time White Sox pitcher Mark Buerhle is on the mound for the Blue Jays tonight, given the Cubs a very different look from the young righty that dominated them last night. Hopefully that means there will be a different outcome.

On the mound for the Cubs: Jake Arrieta. Just be like Arrieta, and all will be well.

Hey, each team tonight is starting a guy whose first name is kinda-sorta the same as the first name of the guy they started last night!

Even against a lefty, and even with Matt Szczur and Chris Valaika drawing starts, Junior Lake is not in the lineup – HOWEVA, Buehrle pretty much has no platoon split in his career (or this season), so there’s no there there.
