If you weren’t able to stay up – or stay tuned in – for the 10th inning of last night’s Cubs/Cardinals game, you missed a fun ending:

I love how Castillo went with the pitch, and simply looked to hit it hard somewhere. Considering the pitch location and the presence of speed Peter Bourjos in center, Castillo, who homered earlier in the game, must have really crushed that thing (despite how it might look in that video’s angle).
I also love how excited the Cubs players were to get that one. Almost too excited – did you see how aggressively Anthony Rizzo turns from home plate, sprints, and then grabs Castillo mid-celebration with Luis Valbuena? (Prompting the “be careful guys” from Len Kasper.) Each of Rizzo and Castillo are coming off of injuries, but, man, you just can’t stop that excitement. Castillo thereafter gets absolutely mobbed. I love that, as well.
Also: rosin bags to the head in celebration? I haven’t seen that one before. I think I love that, too.
That’s a lot of love for one moment.
