The homer scored Jorge Soler, Kris Bryant, and Welington Castillo. It came off of Ryan Vogelsong, who had gotten ahead of Schwarber 0-2. It was a hell of an at bat that preceded that homer.
Schwarber is a top 50ish prospect to just about every rankings service, and a top 20 guy to some. The Cubs’ first round pick (4th overall) in 2014 will keep climbing if he shows that kind of power regularly this year while also flashing some chops behind the plate.
