Travis Wood gets start number three on the Spring, and he’ll hopefully be able to go four or five innings. He’s the clear favorite for the fifth starter job, and it would be nice to just see him run away with it at this point. Chris Bosio is certainly convinced.
The Reds counter with Johnny Cueto, so good luck to the Cubs position players who are going to try and show something today.
Today’s game is the WGN-TV debut for the season, which is great, but remember: the games are no longer on WGN-America, the cable channel. They want to go another direction with their programming, so it’s only the local Chicago WGN-9 station that has Cubs games this year. If you’re in the area, great. Check the game out. If you’re outside of Chicago in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, or southern Wisconsin, you might want to flip around during the game to see if it got picked up by any of your local stations.
If none of those things apply to you, then you can watch live on MLB.tv.
