Kyle Schwarber and Dan Vogelbach Continue Their Torrid Start with More Homers (VIDEO)

Among other Chicago Cubs prospects, Kyle Schwarber and Dan Vogelbach are doing their part to ensure we have ridiculous minor league performances over which to fawn.

Vogelbach’s start to the 2015 season earned him Player of the Week honors, and he hasn’t slowed down since then. For example, on Wednesday, he did this:

Vogelbach also doubled and walked in that game, and then he doubled and walked three times the next night.

That was last night, and it was when Kyle Schwarber did this:

That thing was a freaking rocket.

Schwarber doubled and singled in that game, too, and had four hits the night before. Check out the lines on these 22-year-old lefty mashers:

Schwarber – .371/.511/.629 with 10 walks and 10 strikeouts over 45 plate appearances.

Vogelbach – .426/.534/.702 with 11 walks and 3(!) strikeouts over 58 plate appearances.

As a team, the Smokies are hitting .288/.381/.410 with 65 walks and just 85 strikeouts. Not to take anything away from Schwarber and Vogelbach, then, but the absolutely insane K:BB ratio suggests the Smokies probably haven’t yet faced the tip-toppiest of pitching prospects.

Still, the number for Schwarber and Vogelbach are ridiculous. Here’s hoping they continue to make for daily offensive check-ins.
