Pre-Gamin’: Brewers v. Cubs (6:10 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

miller parkThe Cubs will look to win back-to-back games tonight (without exploding our hearts in the process) in Game Two against the Brewers in Milwaukee. The Cubs haven’t won back-to-back games since the 28th of April.

I’ll be there at the Baseball Prospectus event (we’ll be in the ATI Club, wherever that is, but I’m sure there will still be plenty of walking around the park), so if you see a 5’8″ guy with brown hair wearing a light blue shirt and blue and yellow shoes, say hey. If he says hey back, it’s probably me. If not, he probably thinks you’re kind of creepy.

As for the game, Travis Wood will face a Brewers lineup dealing with a variety of injuries, and the Cubs will face a Brewers starter who’s been serving up long-balls at a prodigious rate this year. That would be Kyle Lohse, who has allowed nine homers in just six starts this year. The Cubs went deep four times last night, so maybe they’re finding their power groove at just the right time.

A random bummer: the Brewers are just about as far back of the Cubs (7.0 games) as the Cubs are of the Cardinals (6.5 games).
