The leaders are pulling away, and the Chicago Cubs’ All-Star hopefuls are fading:

While it’s super cool to see Cubs players starting in the All-Star Game, I have to give this the ‘ole whatever-eye-roll. Certain fan bases are super duper energized when it comes to this stuff, and the Cubs’ fan base, for whatever reason, is not. And, other than Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant, I’m not sure anyone else really merits starter consideration this year anyway. Still, the voting totals are discouraging (seriously? Matt Adams ahead of Rizzo?).
But the Cubs will have some All-Stars, that much is certain.
As for the voting … I know it doesn’t mean anything. But Yadier Molina over Buster Posey at this point is a travesty.
