Kris Bryant has crazy natural power. This is indisputable.
Also indisputable: he’s been a little off of late. It happens to every player, and you’d reckon that goes double for rookies. The power, in particular, had been absent from Bryant’s game, and he hadn’t gone deep since his America-lovin’ 4th of July, which was 16 games ago.
But then today he did this:

Would you believe me if I told you that was only Bryant’s second opposite field homer all year? That’s pretty crazy when you consider how renowned his opposite field power was in the minors, and how easily he stroked that ball out the other way right there.
He’s going to do so much more of that before the year is up.
