With the wind blowing out, the Chicago Cubs went off today, clubbing five homers in their 9-2 win over the Brewers.
Homers are fun, especially when the come in bunches. So let’s watch them all!
I’ll lead off with Chris Denorfia, whose homer video is not yet embeddable. So he just gets this link. Watch him go deep when K-Rod misses his spot badly.
Then there’s Kyle Schwarber, who went deep twice on the day. His first homer came in back-to-back fashion with Dexter Fowler and was a shot to center field:

And his second was a monster opposite field bomb:

Speaking of the Fowler homer, his was a rocket to right that required a review to confirm (though if you know Wrigley’s outfield, you knew it was a homer immediately, because the only way the ball could come shooting off the wall like that is if it was above the basket):

And, not to be left out, there was Anthony Rizzo, taking one to the batter’s eye in center:

That, my friends, is how you take advantage of the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field, and how you have yourself a homer party.
