Pre-Gamin’: Cubs v. White Sox (6:10 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

us cellular fieldThe Cubs are at a place in the standings and in the season where it really helps to win basically every game. So I don’t really want to say today’s is a “must win” or anything like that. I will, however, point out that with a Sale-Haren match-up looming tomorrow, and with Jake Arrieta going today, if the Cubs want to win this series, it probably would behoove them to win today.

Facing a lefty, the Cubs bring back in Jorge Soler and Chris Denorfia. David Ross gets the start behind the plate, and Starlin Castro gets another start at second base. He’ll probably start there again tomorrow, and, if he has a couple more good games, it’s not inconceivable that he could work his way into more regular starts there, even against righties.

Soler was initially listed as the right fielder for this one, but a tight right calf pushes him to DH.
