The Cubs will try to split this short series with the Tigers behind Jon Lester, who is totally going to pick someone off tonight. You’ll see.
The good news from last night is that the offense showed up, but the bad news is that the bullpen is mildly taxed. It would be good if Lester can go deep.
The Cubs face young lefty Daniel Norris, whom they will hopefully wear down quickly. He doesn’t strike out a ton of guys yet in his career, and he does give up some walks, so patience will be the order of the day. And hopefully Norris won’t be given the opportunity to do any more scoreboard damage.
Kyle Schwarber stays in the lineup in left field, even against a lefty.
