20. Games. Over. .500.
According to an in-game graphic on WGN, this is the Cubs’ first time with four four-game sweeps in a season since 1935.
The Cubs went nuts on the long ball once again today, and got significant offensive contributions from all over. And then there was Jason Hammel, who managed to go 6.1 solid innings today, which will undoubtedly be a great first step to getting him back where he needs to be for the stretch run.
I’m so impressed – once again – to see this relatively young team lose two bad ones to the Tigers, and then come right back and blast the Braves in four.
