Although there wasn’t much to cheer on offense last night for the Cubs against Clayton Kershaw, Anthony Rizzo did manage to come through on a 3-2 count with an absolute monster blast to center field.
This baby went 440 feet, and came off the bat at a blistering 109.3 mph:
The shot was Rizzo’s 26th on the year, tied for 14th in baseball, and giving him a very good shot at topping 30 for the second straight season.
Rizzo is also tied for 14th in WAR, at 4.8. His 153 wRC+ is 8th highest in baseball, too. Not that you didn’t already know he was an offensive stud.
