Given the match-up against righty Carlos Martinez (hard on righties, soft on lefties), given the way the bench can be utilized in-game, and given the need to keep getting guys rest down the stretch, I love today’s lineup:
.@kschwarb12 returns to the starting lineup today behind @JLester34.

While it’s unfortunate that the scheduled lined up that Miguel Montero couldn’t be in there, too, Martinez will face five straight lefties to lead off the game, and each time the lineup turns over.
Kyle Schwarber is back, and hopefully ready to pace the offense once again.
Kris Bryant gets a blow, with Javier Baez picking up another start at third base – where he was brilliant last night.
And, by the 7th inning, all of this could change. Montero, Bryant, Starlin Castro, and Austin Jackson are among the Cubs’ bench options today.
