The Roberto Clemente Award “recognizes a player who best represents the game through positive contributions on and off the field, including sportsmanship and community involvement.”
Today, MLB announced its 30 nominees – one from each team – for the award, and Anthony Rizzo is the nominee for the Chicago Cubs. It’s a nice recognition of how much Rizzo does, not only for the Cubs on the field, but in his time away from the ballpark.
