The Cubs’ bats couldn’t muster anything against a surprisingly effective Zach Davies, and, despite a good outing from Kyle Hendricks and the bullpen, the Brewers took the game.
I don’t have too many thoughts beyond that, as it just seemed like one of those nights. Justin Grimm was the exception to the comment there about a good outing from the bullpen, as it couldn’t find the zone. Jorge Soler absolutely scalded one, and that was cool. Kyle Schwarber made a great catch in the outfield, and then made a surprise appearance behind the plate.
That was pretty much it.
