The Cubs begin their final series of the year, and head up to Milwaukee to close things out with the Brewers. The Pirates will be playing the Reds at the same time, and that game is equally important to the Cubs, who need to win and to have the Pirates lose this weekend (two out of three, at least) to get home-field advantage in the Wild Card Game.
It’s your final regular season Jake Arrieta Day! Here’s hoping he goes six scoreless with a ton of strikeouts, and then heads out with a 8-0 lead after 80 or so pitches.
Sure is an interesting lineup tonight, eh? Take a look at those corner outfield spots, and then openly speculate about how it allows the Cubs to get in specific guys who would make a lot of sense starting in a certain game coming up on Wednesday.
