All of the awards. All of them.
Jake Arrieta got better and better as the season went on, so it’s no surprise that he started locking down weekly and monthly player awards like a prepper who plans to subsist solely on plaudits when the connected world comes to an end.
The latest nod comes from MLB, and it’s as the Pitcher of the Month for September:

Arrieta’s September numbers were just plain stupid (0.45 ERA, 1.88 FIP, 2.19 xFIP, for example), but that was pretty much true of his entire season, which was arguably the best by a Cubs pitcher in the modern era.
Hopefully next up on the Arrieta awards circuit: several postseason awards.
And, then, after the World Series: Cy Young.
