The Chicago Cubs just released their NLDS roster, which shuffles things a bit from the Wild Card Game roster, given that this could be a five-game series, rather than just a single outing. The primary change is the addition of another pitcher – Jason Hammel – at the expense of outfielder/base-stealer Quintin Berry.
The move affords the Cubs 11 pitchers – four “starters” and seven “relievers,” though you’ll see that roles can change quickly in the playoffs – and 14 position players. That’s a really nice six-man bench for the Cubs.
