Someone keeps playing and hosts the Cubs on Saturday. Someone’s season is over. It’s NLDS finale day for the Mets and Dodgers. Everyone seems to have an opinion on which team they want to see win, but, for me, I’m just rooting for a record-breaking extra-inning game. Does 35 innings sound too ambitious?
By virtue of going to five games, the teams have to use a couple top starters in Jacob deGrom and Zack Greinke, which is good news for the Cubs either way.
If you’re truly asking my opinion, though, I think it’s really close between these teams. As presently constructed, the Mets probably scare me just a touch more than the Dodgers. But they’re both very good. And the Cubs can beat both.
