Some Cubs Ticket Packages Go On Sale Thursday

Chicago Cubs

Given the attendance spike in 2015, given the Chicago Cubs’ projected competitiveness for the near-term future, and given how many people seem to love the Cubs, you can expect tickets to be a little tougher to get next year than in recent years. The Cubs have already announced that ticket prices will be increasing, season ticket holders won’t be able to add additional seats, and may not be able to relocate – again, all signs that single ticket availability will be more like it was back in 2007-2009 than it was in 2011-2013.

To that end, you should be aware that the Cubs are selling six and twelve-game ticket packs starting on Thursday at noon CT:

As you can see, the packs allow you to get a variety of games before single-game tickets go on sale (usually early next year), though you’ve got to buy six or twelve games. Naturally, I’m going to be on a flight at the time the window opens – and Southwest’s in-flight wi-fi has never been kind to me, though I might bite the bullet and try again – so I’m hoping the best games don’t go too quickly.
