This is one of those news items that is, strictly-speaking, news … but not really.
Today, all seven arbitration-eligible Chicago Cubs players filed for salary arbitration:

They didn’t *have* to file, and could have instead just allowed the Cubs to decide on whatever salary they wanted to pay them. But, you know, that doesn’t actually happen. Thus, this is technically news, but not really.
