Good news: of the Chicago Cubs’ 32 Spring Training games, at a minimum, you will be able to watch or listen to 30 of them. Technology!
Even better news, 11 of those games will be broadcast on TV, so you’ll be able to get your visual fix of the Cubs soon.
Today the Cubs announced their Spring Training broadcast schedule:

Those “Cubs.com” ones are audio broadcasts, which should be free for anyone to listen to.
Games will also be available via video on the channels listed or MLB.tv – and there should also be some more with MLB.tv, because that will include broadcasts that the Cubs’ opponents create. Last year, I believe there were a good five or six additional ones we got to watch that way. Also, MLB Network will pick up some games before all is said and done, so my guess is that there will be some form of video available for much more than just the 11 listed games above.
As the games get closer, I’ll give you an update on all the games that will be available for viewing in one way or another.
For now, the first video broadcast listed is March 16, which is, of course, the first day I’m out in Arizona anyway, and can already watch. How about getting some games on the tubes before that, eh? (Actually, as I said, I’m pretty sure there will be – they just won’t be “Cubs” broadcasts. More on that as it becomes available.)
