I love MLB.tv. I say that as someone who’s used it for nearly a decade, who watches games on his TV, iPad, phone, and computer at various times, and who wants to be able to watch the Cubs at all times (plus replays throughout the season). I also say it as someone whose business is supported when you buy MLB.tv via the links here at BN, but it’s mostly the first thing. I really do love MLB.tv and use it daily during the season.
And it’s on sale again for the 2016 season, $20 cheaper than it was last year! MLB.tv premium is $109.99 for the year, which includes Spring Training games (of which there will be several televised by Cubs opponents that you can watch, which you wouldn’t otherwise be able to watch).
There’s also a new single-team option this year, so you can JUST sign up for Cubs games and save yourself another $25 – single team is just $84.99.
So, if you’re going to get MLB.tv – and I highly recommend it – please purchase it here. Doing so throws a little revenue back to BN in the process, which means you can get yourself Cubs games AND feel like you helped keep this place running.
Keep in mind before you sign up: the blackout restrictions are still in place, so you’ll want to make sure you aren’t blacked out of your preferred games before signing up. For more info, and to check your status, see here.
It is possible that those restrictions could change this year, allowing more people in the Cubs’ blackout region to watch Cubs games, but those changes have not yet been put into place.
