Yesterday, the Cubs hosted a wiffle ball home run derby in downtown Chicago for Cubs fans to win tickets to the upcoming season, and it looks like it was a lot of fun:
Players weren’t the only ones who reported this week. #Cubs fans showed up big for #HitForTix!https://t.co/kIM5ruTr6q

Even Clark the Cub got in on the action, but, my man, where’s the bat flip?

Ah ha! There’s the bat flip:
#Cubs fans sure can #HitForTix! Folks are having a blast while winning great tickets. https://t.co/HEYjWagedT

I want to know who that hero is. You are a champion, sir.
Fans who hit homers won tickets, but the rest of you will just have to buy them when they go on sale on Friday at 10am CT.
Elsewhere in stray fun from which I desperately hope we get video:
Also on #Cubs schedule is bunting competition for pitchers, organized by Bosio

You may recall the Bunt Tournament, organized under former manager Dale Sveum, which pitted all players against each other (and some execs, too) in a fun, silly, bunting competition. It was great. Here’s hoping that’s the kind of thing Bosio, who came in with Sveum, has in mind.
