After beating the Reds 9-6 yesterday, the Chicago Cubs will look to extend their winning streak to three, as they take on the Texas Rangers at Surprise Stadium.
Today’s game will be immediately followed by the Second Annual Futures Game, which should be fun. I haven’t found today’s lineup for that game, but you can check out the lineup from last year, right here.
Kyle Hendricks takes the mound today, with a team full of irregulars (that’s probably not how you say that). But, he will be joined by Addison Russell, as well as Kyle Schwarber and Jorge Soler – who are making a (probably going to be) rare coinciding outfield start.
Matt Szczur is sandwiched between them, and will look to show all he can in centerfield, having a very real, but outside shot of making the opening day roster.
Today’s game will be broadcast on CSN. Additional video and audio of the game will also be made available on MLB.tv or through the AtBat app. For future reference, you can check which games will be televised here.
